Dress Spheres are like the replacement of different equipping techniques in Final Fantasy. They replace classic Item, weapon, etc and bring in a new kind of power. Your power during the game is affected greatly by which dress sphere you're using. Your characters dress up in these dress spheres and you can find quite a few of them, all with their own powerful skills or healing magics. Experiment in the game to which dress spheres work best... there are some disadvantages and advantages to every single one.

Each character has their own special Dress Spheres which they can use when they use every Dress Sphere in a Garment Grid during a battle. These special Dress Spheres are incredibely powerful and will provide you with the best attacks during the course of your game. Acquiring these can sometimes be easy, it depends on how skilled you are during combat. Yuna's special Dress Sphere is 'Floral Fallal', Rikku's is 'Machina Maw' and Paine's is 'Full Throttle'.
